C2422HE, halfway through call no audio
I am using C2422HE (firmware M2T106) with my OptiPlex 7090 Ultra (Windows 10 Pro 21H1 19043.1288). Connection is through USB-C. For some reasons, the audio will drop after sometime, e.g. halfway in the conference call. Every time this happens, it is either to perform a system restart or to plug in an external headphone (3.5mm jack, USB, Bluetooth) to carry on the call. I do not see any anomaly in Device Manager. I suspect this could be a compatibility issue with the audio driver. Based on C2422HE/C2722DE/C3422WE lagging or no audio, there seems to be issue in the past. However, I am already with the latest monitor firmware. Any suggestion how shall I drill down further on this issue?

Managed to find a workaround when this happens. Whenever this happens, press the C2422HE monitor power button to turn off the monitor, then press the power button again to turn on the monitor, the monitor will detect the connection again, i.e. the USB-C connection to OptiPlex 7090 Ultra, once this is completed, the audio is restored.

Adding to above, the 3.5mm jack on the monitor has no audio output as well when this happens, however, USB and Bluetooth are still working with audio output.

@DELL-Cares , how can we bring this to the related team for a permanent fix? Currently using the workaround I found but not a clever solution.

@DELL-Cares
Please note that intermittent audio drop still persist even after upgraded C2422HE monitor firmware to version M2T108 which is supposed to address the audio drop issue.
Whenever this happens, I press the C2422HE monitor power button to turn the C2422HE OFF. Then press the power button again to turn the C2422HE ON. The C2422HE will detect the connection again, i.e. the USB-C connection to OptiPlex 7090 Ultra. Once this is completed, the audio is restored.
My configuration: OptiPlex 7090 Ultra, Windows 11 Pro 21H2 connected to C2422HE monitor via USB-C.
Please raise this back to your development/support team.

@DELL-Cares
M2T108 firmware does not resolve the audio drop issue. When the audio drop happens, the workaround of turning the C2422HE power button on off might not work. One has to resort to workaround of disabling and enabling the Echo Cancelling Speakerphone in Playback under the Sound menu.
