cannot display this video mode
hi had the pc for about a week and the monitor suddenly displayed a message 'cannot display this video mode' it says in the monitor help disc that it is out of synch with the pc and needs to b adjusted,can anyone tell me how I can do that without a monitor please to get to the pc control panel?

To resolve this problem, turn off the monitor for 15 seconds. During the startup, the monitor will detect the input signal and will now function normally.

i had the same problem "cannot display this video mode". i contacted dell support thru chat. i was advised to turn my computer on safe mode, u can do this by pressing F8 as your computer is restarting. from there u change your setting. if that does not work, like in my case, i had to run restore program on my computer. of course with the assistance of the dell agent. DON'T DO this though on your own. pls contact dell support thru chat or phone
