Can't get the E228WFP to work on native resolution when using VGA input.

I just got a brand new E228WFP 2 days ago but can't get to display on native resolution of 1680x1050 since the AutoCorrect feature will shift my screen 2/3 to the left of the screen. Also tried on a second and third PCs with the same results. Installed the drivers from the CD but only recognizes the monitor as a Default Display, to make sure the problem was with the E228WFP I tried with an Acer AL2216W and all 3 PCs recognized the monitor immidiatelly.
I'ts clear that the E228WFP is a low end monitor(or I got a lemon), backlight bleeding and gradient/banding via DVI is another problem that I won't go into details but it's sure that Dell is not making LCDs like they used to.

JSquare,

The monitor should be exchanged due to the backlight bleeding and gradient/banding via DVI. Please provide me with the following information in a private message, not on the board -

When using DVI, do you have the Color Settings set to PC RGB and Normal Preset(sRGB)?

Also, did you attempt to use the Factory Reset?

Hi DELL-ChrisM,

Yes I did a factory reset and the Color Format is set PC RGB, Normal Preset(sRGB).
I had a 2005WFP then a 2007WFP for the past 18 months and both were excellent displays, specially the 2005, but neither one had these kind of problems. I'll send you a PM with the info requested.

Thanks!
