Changing Display Setting (On Panel)

Question

Hi, I have some applications that run in full screen fixed resolution 4:3 aspect ratio mode. I would like the monitor to display the proper aspect ratio with black bars on the side. My monitor is the 2407WFP and my video card is a 7950GT with 93.71 Nvidia drivers. There is an option under Display Settings in the panel options, but the 'Wide Mode' option (which I believe is what I want) is greyed out along with Sharpness and Zoom. I am using a DVI connection. Does anyone know how I can change it to maintain the aspect ratio? Thanks

try this -
Using the new control panel,
Display > Change Flat Panel Scaling > Use NVIDIA scaling with fixed aspect-ratio

Stretches the desktop as much as possible to fit the display while maintaining the aspect ratio. If the desktop has a different aspect ratio than the display, there may be black bands around the desktop.
