ChrisM I NEED HELP!

Chris,

I've been on the phone with Dell Canada for the past 3 days for an avg of 3-5 hours each day.  They are refusing to help and I am not sure what I can do now.  I have a 2007WFP A00 LCD monitor.  Back in May I PMed you to get a replacement A02 revision.  Last Friday, I finally received my replacement, however, to my dismay it was an another A00 revision.  So I contacted Dell Canada to request another replacement for this A00 revision and they are refusing to send me a Brand New LCD only a Refurbished because my 30 days after purchase have expired.  Chris, you said in the past that the 30 days from purchase the date does not apply to 2007WFP LCDs because of the Color banding issues.  I know I am in Canada but please Help!  Thanks in advance.  Also, what is the Return Policy for 2007WFP now???

Peter

Late Friday I was able to get someone finally on the phone that knew about this problem and he arranged a replacement to be sent out and he said should arrive Monday.  Sorry I should have updated this thread.  I found this whole experience quite aggravating as each time I called I would get another tech support representative and I would have to explain the whole situation about the firmware fix over again.  I even had to link them the Sticky thread by ChrisM because they would not believe me.

So did that convince them? I'm just curious how effective it would be to link to a Dell forum thread if I ever ran into any issues.

They could not argue with the forum post but getting a tech that is willing to go visit the sticky is another thing.

Deleted because I need to confirm my panel manufacturer.

Peter - there's an easy way to confirm your panel type.

  1. Shut down the monitor
  2. Press the menu and the '+' button together and power up
  3. Then press the '-' button.
  4. If it's an IPS it should say LPL WSXGA LM201W01

Sure glad you finally convinced Canada to send you a replacement.  That had to be aggravating!
