Compact Flash Card Problems with Dell 2405

Question

I have a Dell 2405 and a Canon S60 digital camera.  I have two compact flash memory cards, a 32MB and a 256MB.  The 32MB card works flawlessly when I put it into the card reader built into the monitor, but I am having problems with the 256MB card.  Windows recognizes the card and sees files on the card, but is unable to open or preview the pictures.  When I hook the camera directly to my computer via the USB port with the same card, Canon's software will let me open the pictures.  I have tried reformatting the card using the software built into the camera and Windows.  No matter what I do, I can not get the card reader to open pictures on the 256MB card.    Any suggestions?  Is the Dell monitor just picky about compact flash cards?   Thanks for any help:)

I have a Lexar 256 MB CF card, and have no problem with 2405. Pictures are taken with Cannon S230 Powershot. Maybe you can try a different USB cable. Can you tranfer a picture fro your pc to it?
