DDM, Switch inputs from Windows Login screen, #2

Hello,

I have two PCs connected to my U3821DW both running Windows 10. I use a hotkey on dell display manager to switch between pc's. However, the hotkey does not work from the windows login screen, even if DDM is running on both pc's. Is there another workaround to switch inputs without having to login to the PC then press the hotkey?

I'm referring to an other discussion here but there is no information about if the user was running or not the DDM; that's my case. For some "old" users, it's difficult to use the physical button to switch between pc's, so if the hotkey work even if the session if locked, I'm opened to know how to do this. By the way, if DDM could be a service, it could work without a user session, it would be better

Thanks for your help.

The other user had DDM running on both PC. But as I stated, DDM is not active until a user is logged into Windows. So the OSD shortcut keys under "Personalize" won't be active until the user logs into Windows.

Thank you for your reply Chris.

What do you mean by "active" ?

For me, active is "running" and DDM is running because a user session is opened but session is locked (logon screen).

Your answer is a little bit confused for me.

Thank you.

"but session is locked (logon screen)"
* The user must login. Then DDM is active.
