You have that right to send it back if you are not happy with the one dead pixel during the thirty days return policy, but dell will keep the shipping cost.  You will have to eat that, but as far as another monitor, who know's, you could get lucky and have no dead pixels. Its your call.  I had a monitor with one dead pixel and sent it back, eating the shipping charges both ways, but got lucky with a monitor with no dead pixels.  Your monitor with no dead pixels can develope bad pixels later.

Where is the stuck or dead pixel ? Does it bother you that much ? Can you live with it ? If they do send you another monitor to replace the one you have now, the thirty days started on the original invoice date.  If you just send the older monitor back and eat the charges, than later order a new monitor, the new thirty days return policy will start.   Again, its your call, but do it fast.  Time is running out...GOOD  LUCK

i think it i just a bad pixel b/c the only time i notice it is when the screen is all black not with any other screens, probably just a big hassle to send it back b/c i forget about it when i am using the computer just notice it only with all black backround (i did a pixel test and other colors except black and blue are fine so is this considered a dead pixel or what?)

It's a bad pixel, but if its small enough and does not bother you, keep it.  It's a toss up weather to exchange it or not.  I have one bad pixel like yours, that I can only see during a specific color, and I just got used to it and now it does not bother me.  I just wished  Dell and the other's would give us a break in cost on those monitor's that have dead pixels.  Here is a though !  Call Dell up and complain about it, and see if they are willing to reduce the price if you do not send it back...  It might work.
