If you purchased it with a Dell computer system, then have the system service tag ready. The Dell Techies should be able to look the order number up from that information. They should also be able to find your order number by your phone number.
Call the Dell Techies for help to troubleshoot the monitor. It will help to have either your system service tag ready or, if you purchased the monitor separately, the Dell order number for your monitor purchase.
Bought a 1800FP bundled with a Dimension 8300(with 1 year warranty) in June 03. Monitor died Nov 19, 04. Warranty documentation (Web Site and Hard Copy) says 3 years on a Monitor. Dell said NO, I'm out of warranty. Dell can't show me where it says the warranty on the monitor only lasts as long as the system warranty. And to beat all-THEY WON'T FIX IT even after I offered to pay. So, if you buy a computer from Dell, either get the 3 year or better warranty or buy it video ready and purchase the monitor separate. Things are not what they were when I bought my first computer from them in '92.
