Yup, return it right away. I had the same problem with the first monitor and now my second 2007wfp has arrive and has the same problem again. I havn't even sent the first one back yet. I'll be on the phone with dell in the morning about this.
It's not a pixel-dead problem. The spot is like a white halo.
If the problem is common it is useless to have RMA... I'm expectant to know what Dell says about this backlight uniformity problem.

Get a dead pixel tester from the net ( the easy free ones such as 'dead pixel buddy') & use it. I am sure you have dead or stuck pixels:(
If it is still under the 'satisfaction' time I would return it. If not, I don't think dell covers 2 in that area - but I may be wrong.
