Dell 24' LCD Card reader

Question

Hello,   I have a Dell 24' LCD and I have a mircoSD to SD adapter I'm trying to use.  If i stick a 2GB mircro SD in the adapter and put it in my monitor it works fine.    However if i put an 8 GB microSD in it, nothing appears in Mycomputer   Just to check it, I tried it in two of my Dell laptops with built in SD readers (one of them is 3 years old) and it reads it just fine...   Anyone know how to fix it?

I ran into this myself with my 8GB MicroSDHC card.

These aren't compatible with regular SD card readers; the reader has to support SDHC. Physically they are the same, but the 'disk' can't be read. I ended up buying a new (USB) card reader that could read MicroSDHC and SDHC (and regular SD/microSD).

Yeah, I was thinking that was the case.... although its kind of wierd my 3 year old dell laptop reads it
