Dell 2407WFP (A02) Component Input Issues (Fuzzy, Dark & Vertical Lines)

I have spent most of the afternoon searching the forums for a fix to what appears to be a component input problem. Regretfully my search has been in vain I have found no answers and other 2407wfp users are complaining of the same thing.

THE MONITOR
-----------------------------------------------------
Dell 2407WFP (A02) China

THE CONFIGURATION
-----------------------------------------------------
PC connected to 2407wfp via DVI

XBOX (First Generation) connected to 2407wfp via Component Input

THE PROBLEM
-----------------------------------------------------
Image and video quality from the XBOX is very poor when connected to the 2407wfp.

Images are Fuzzy, Dark and there are Faint Vertical Lines.

The XBOX is set to widescreen with all HD options set to yes.

The 2407wfp input menu show component input selected, resolution 480i and wide mode fill screen.

THE QUESTION (s)
-----------------------------------------------------
Am I wrong to expect the XBOX to look better on the my new 2407wfp then my old 27" TV?

Is there a fix to this problem?

If there is no current fix is Dell working on one and will I able to apply it to my current 2407wfp?

JUST FOR FUN
-----------------------------------------------------
I hooked up the XBOX using the standard composite connection, go figure, the resulting image looked better than when I was using the component input.

From what I have read you need a special cable from xbox to get good results. Not sure if this cable goes to dvi.

Guys on this forum say A02 needs an A03 (when ever).

Many a thread have discussed the component issues on the 2407. Simply put, the component input is defective on all 2407 monitors, and is completely useless at all input resolutions. There is no fix at this time. The ONLY way to play Xbox or Xbox 360 on the 2407 is to use a VGA cable.
