Dell 2407wfp-hc input problems
Well recently I've decided to test out the component and composite inputs on my dell 2407wfp-hc and for some odd reason, I get about 1-2 seconds of image, and then the screen goes black. The image doesn't come back.
I can only get the picture again for another 1-2 seconds if I turn off and turn back on the Wii. I've tried different cables, tried turning off and on the monitor, replugging all the cables, even tried connecting my ps2 and a dvd player as well, and the same 1-2 second thing occurs...
So what do you guys think? Is there anything else I can do or firmwares available or a fix for this? Does anyone else have the same problem with their dell 24" hc?
Otherwise if worst comes to worst, ring dell and exchange for another lcd? The screen was bought in November 2007. Has no dead pixels either.
Hope someone can help me with this...
Thanks

* Power off the Wii
* Power off the PC
* Power off the monitor
* Disconnect all cabling from the bottom of the monitor (including the power cord). NOTE - Disconnecting the power cord releases all circuit latches resetting them
* Reconnect either the VGA cable or the DVI cable (not both)
* Reconnect the monitor power cord
* Power on the monitor
* Power on the PC
* You should now be on the the windows desktop using either the VGA or DVI
* Re-connect the Wii to the monitor component
* Power on the Wii
* Press the Input Select button on the monitor and switch to Component
* Open the Wii Options menu and switch to 480p
* Insert a Wii game

Since you have tried it with three component devices, get it replaced. If you have a service tag number associated with your monitor, you may use Chat or Email support to setup the monitor exchange. If you only have an Order number associated with the monitor, you must call in, 1-800-624-9896. They will need the following information -
20 digit PPID number on back of monitor
Name, address, phone, email address
Order number
Issue
