I am also having a similar problem. I have the 2407WFPHC and when I put in my blu ray Casino Royale and play the movie (after the blue ray trailers, which work fine) it flickers and gives the same message posted above before working. Does this mean that something is wrong with the image i'm getting? Also, I noticed that the ps2 games I play never take up the whole screen--isn't it supposed to with upscaling? I have the upscaling option set for full screen, but it still doesn't work. how can i fix this? thanks
The problem is not with the monitor but the settings (video out) on your PS3.
Inside PS3 settings there is multiple selection.
- HDMI
- Component
- S-video/Composite
Also for the resolutions
480p
720p
1080i
1080p
Depend on where you set the settings on your first PS3 boot.
1st boot usually with s-video/composite cable
The settings usually stayed at 480p
Suggestion
- If you have component cable try to use them
- If not try to use the s-vide/composite cable that come with PS3
- If you see the menu then you will be able to change the display settings to HDMI (this will allow your DVI to HDMI to work) make sure you select appropriate resolutions 1080p (I think is ok with 2707WFP) --> 480p/720p is the save bet just to make sure you have picture.
