Dell 3008WFP unknow USB device

Hi all,

we recently aquire Dell 3008WFP monitor

works great under Vista  X64 Business, but found that we have unknow USB device when we plug the USB Cable

this unknown device appears near the Memory card reader, on the same USB hub device

details on this shows:

\Device\USBPDO-10

USB\VID_0000&PID_0000\6&372BBCE4&0&4

strange VID PID ?

what it is this ? any driver , for this device

thanks for any help

This is all off the top of my head but the 3008WFP is likely to be similar to my 2408WFP.

Given that, under Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 x64 the monitor's card readers show up in Windows Device Manager as "Generic Flash HS-CF USB Device" and "Generic Flash HS-COMBO USB Device". Your computer may be missing the device driver for one of these card readers. If you don't plan on using them then simply disable it in Device Manager. You will still have access to the monitors USB 2.0 ports.

sorry every thing ok except the annoying unknown device

what monitor plug and UC are you talking about?

what i mean is.. plug a thumbdrive into the usb ports one by one and see if its detected. if it is, good. if not, you've isolated the problem. same goes for the card reader slots.

hmmm seems strange. have you tried right-click and remove it? does it come back after a reboot?

how about trying the monitor on another computer?

if the ports and card reader is working well, i wouldnt worry about it.

hope it helps.
