Dell 3008WFP unknow USB device
Hi all,
we recently aquire Dell 3008WFP monitor
works great under Vista X64 Business, but found that we have unknow USB device when we plug the USB Cable
this unknown device appears near the Memory card reader, on the same USB hub device
details on this shows:
\Device\USBPDO-10
USB\VID_0000&PID_0000\6&372BBCE4&0&4
strange VID PID ?
what it is this ? any driver , for this device

This is all off the top of my head but the 3008WFP is likely to be similar to my 2408WFP.
Given that, under Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 x64 the monitor's card readers show up in Windows Device Manager as "Generic Flash HS-CF USB Device" and "Generic Flash HS-COMBO USB Device". Your computer may be missing the device driver for one of these card readers. If you don't plan on using them then simply disable it in Device Manager. You will still have access to the monitors USB 2.0 ports.

it is not the card reader because it is working well
this is a device on the same hub

what monitor plug and UC are you talking about?
what i mean is.. plug a thumbdrive into the usb ports one by one and see if its detected. if it is, good. if not, you've isolated the problem. same goes for the card reader slots.

there is no extrenal device connected to the monitor plug
when i remove the monitor cable from the UC the device disappear
I can't remove the internal card reader
the unkown device is an internal monitor device
sorry every thing ok except the annoying unknown device

sorry of my bad explanation,
i was talking about the USB cable between the UC and Monitor
the unkwon device is USB and disappear when removing this cable
so this is an internal device USB of device of the Monitor
I have try to test all all the USB port of the monitor, and there are working well
may be this image will clarify the situtation

hmmm seems strange. have you tried right-click and remove it? does it come back after a reboot?
how about trying the monitor on another computer?
if the ports and card reader is working well, i wouldnt worry about it.

Yes I try to remove it but it came back
all the ports and card reader are working, I dont worry about it
but I am just curious
does any body having a 3008WFP have the same trouble
