Dell 3008WFP

yeah, no doubt that's going to happen... probably near the holiday shopping season (after mid November latest?)

though one thing i'm sorta worried about is that it will look like their 27" model (which i'm not too crazy about the base... think it's a step back...)

Well it's not that bad.
Mind you that the design of the 3007WFP/3007WFP-HC has been around for a while now, so change is about time.

My guess is that they will soon throw in the new Philips-LG panel in, for an even larger color gamut (102% instead of 92% from the top of my head).

the new Gateway XHD3000 has a base that looks like a morphing between the HP 30" and the Dell 3007...

the thing i like about the 3007WFP-HC base is the silver triangular v shape... the swivel (arm?) part i like the 27" version better, i'm just not to wild about the square black glossy base...

looking at that pdf... it looks like dell still has the best looking back view of all monitors.... HP, gateway, LG all have industrial black, no thrills, back... atleast dell throws some silver styling to flash it up...

Well the XHD3000 is really impressive, what I have read about it anyway.
Should be interesting to see Dells response to it.
Maybe Apple has something new along the line also.

I also know from contact with Samsung support that they have a Samsung 305T+ on the way which is an upgrade from the 305T but with HDCP support, hopefully it will have more input ports but I am not to sure about that.

oh yeah... that HD chip the gateway uses... i read about that..., suppose to have been expensive in the past , but prices came down on that technology...... not too wow'ed about the inputs, as the HP has 3 dvi, which you can hook up your xbox ps3, and HDDVD/blu-ray...
