Dell AD Boards (Logic Boards)

Does anyone know where I could buy Dell Logic Boards for 17" Dell monitors. Does Dell sell these replacement parts, if not, is there any place I could buy them.

Thanks in advance

P.S. The monitors are not under warranty so I have to replace the Logic Boards in order to fix them or else I'll just have to throw them, which would be bad

The boards are different for the different models, there are some interchange between the exact same model in different sizes. I have not had a bad logic board so are you sure?

A good place to get boards will be from recyclers who dismantle monitors for parts.

Yep, I'm pretty sure its the logic boards that are faulty. I hade a small repair shop and some client brought some monitors all with faulty boards (out of warranty too) so he wants em fixed and stuff. I would like to know if anyone had previus experience with this kind of problem and where did he buy the logic board (AD Board).

Thanks

If you let me know the exact model number including the last letter, I'll check my sources.

Have you had previous experience with this reseller. I found a site (www.ripoffreport.com) that says that this site could be a scam or sth.

I don't know of any new boards being made except for some old monitors. Yours will be from broken monitors parted out. Problem is a particular monitor usually has the same fault.

I have not dealt with that company so I did not recommend them.

Since you need like 10 of each, I'd go and repair them by component, ! will take you a long time but the rest will all be quicker. I've done this on several different ones.

Yeah, the recycling thing is my signature, I've been doing it long before it was fashionable with computers and everything else. Thats what got me into doing lcd repair in my spare time as a hobby. I save the stuff from the trash, friends get to replace their old crt with something more effficient and then I have a place that tears apart the crts for recycling. A lot of places do not have recycling

volvoxxx,

I haven't dealt with them either. I only posted the link because it's one of the few sources of LCD parts I've found online. I might have to reconsider that. Still, these forums are full of people saying similar things about Dell service :smileytongue:.
