Dell Display Manager program instability (U2413 Monitors)

Greetings-

I'm writing to report a persistent issue with the Dell Display Manager software.

I'm currently running two U2413 (fantastic monitors BTW) in sequence via displayport. The GPU is an NVidia GeForce GTX 660, and the workstation is run through an Intel i5 processor. Currently running Windows 10, but we've seen this issue when the computer was running 8.1.

The issue is as follows: Dell Display Manager will cause the memory/CPU resources to skyrocket, the cursor stutters (essentially recognizing inputs every 4-10 seconds) and Dell Display Manager indicates that a Dell monitor is not connected (despite the fact that the two displays are the only ones connected. Turning off Dell Display Manager appears to correct this issue.

This pattern occurs at variable times when the computer is on, regardless of situation (whether we're running Lightroom and AdobeRGB on both screens, checking Facebook on standard settings, or if the machine is idling. It can happen five minutes into a photo editing session, as it just did, or it may take a day or two to occur.)

The only work-around is to reboot. I've been hoping that there would be a driver or software update that would mitigate this, but that does not appear to be the case.

Any suggestions?

First thing to do is make sure you do indeed have the latest version since you are running Win10. While holding down the Shift key, right-click on the DDM system tray icon, and select "Check for new version" from the popup menu. If that doesn't do the trick you can usually find the current release candidate here.
