Those drivers are only validated for XP/2000. You might be able to load them using the Windows 7 Compatibility Mode.

* Right Click the driver file
* Click Properties
* Click the Compatibility tab
* Select the appropriate options in from the list
* Check Run this program as an administor
* Click Apply- OK

Thanks for taking the time to make a response, Chris.

I tried this solution, but couldn't get it to work.  I tried compatibility mode for XP service pack 2 & 3, but Win7 still refused to run the program.  I've made the older machine into a pure work machine, so I suppose I'll just use the old monitor for that, since that machine is still running xp  . . . just a little frustrating not to be able to use it for my primary machine when it's still working well.

At least I learned something from this . . . since I just installed Win7, I wasn't aware of "compatibility mode," which may come in handy . . .

I use the Microsoft Generic PNP driver for this monitor in Windows 7 Home Edition 64 bit.  I use an AMD Radeon HD 6450 display adapter.  I suggest you just plug the monitor into your computer and define a second monitor exists (it may very well work with the Generic PNP driver from Microsoft).
