Dell monitors that do support Apple?

Are there any Dell monitors that actually support Mac hardware to provide rudimentary features like DDM, for example? I have a U2713HM and like 80% of the computer peripherals market devices are only tested to work with Windows even as their desktop market continues to be taken over by MacOS. MacOS users are used to using hardware that is only known to be partially compatible by looking at forums because manufactures flatly saying "not supported" therefore absolving themselves of any obligation to provide technical support let alone feature support. Basically, the unwritten rule is that peripherals that are in fact backed by the vendor to work with MacOS pay the "Apple Tax" even if the product is literally identical. Dell monitors are no different.

I bought this monitor in 2012 because it was a great value and has served me well enough but it amazes me that in 2020 Dell still changed it's product offerings to support MacOS even when they know MacOS users will buy them knowing that it will work and the savings is worth not getting any tech support from Dell. I don't regret my decision, but it is so unnecessary for Dell to pretend MacOS doesn't offer them any customers and basically making them all resentful customers. I would love Dell peripherals if it weren't for this one single fact and I am sure I am not alone.

When the time comes in the next few years to get a 4K monitor, will I find that Dell still doesn't have a competitively priced monitor that actually has been tested with MacOS and officially supported or will I have to decide just deal with the same disappointing vendor support as I did 10 years before because MacOS is a "fringe" OS to them? Give it to me straight. I can take it.

In my time here at Dell working the Monitors Forum (since 2000), there has been only one monitor that had active Apple support from us, the UP2715K. As a concession to Apple users, some monitors were offered with macOS DUCCS calibration software and firmware. The U2713HM was not one of them. DDM (Dell Display Manager) has yet to be offered on the macOS. The newer USB Type-C monitor are receiving more Apple macOS testing from our manufacturer and we will be posting macOS troubleshooting articles as they are made available to us. But, our sales site will never state, "Apple macOS compatible".

Our advice for any Apple macOS user is to first search for the desired Dell monitor model on the Apple Forum and read through those threads to see how other Apple macOS users are working with our monitor.
