Dell P4317Q Setup
Hi,
I currently have a XPS connected via HDMI (with USB-C to HDMI adapter) but I only got the option to go full screen (one single big desktop) or have HDMI on all 4 screens via the RIP/PBP option on the monitor.
... but then all 4 monitors are mirrored (and useless). Nothing of what I seen at all these great marketing videos to have 4 different desktops :D :(
So question is do I need to have 4 physical cables (e.g. HDMI, VGA, mDP and DP) in order to use all 4 screens (and the PIP/PBP function) properly and individually as separate desktops?
If yes, what is the best docking station for a XPS which Dell suggest? Would this work with the TB16?
Or do I actually need to have a proper desktop PC with multiple grafic cards in order to use this monitor?
Thanks for some help :)

Hi. Thank you for trying the step. We appreciate your efforts. Please try connecting the monitors one at a time to the laptop and check the resolution.

Hi, I did some further testing with two docking stations 3100 and got all 4 screens now available.
Only issue is the resolution of DPs.
So, I got my XPS connected via two USB cables to the 3100 docks.
On both docks I got a HDMI and Displayport cable going to the monitor.
(In total 4 cables, 2 x HDMI, 1xDP, 1xmDP)
But both DisplayPort monitors I get only to 1920 x 1080. :(
