Dell U2413 - USB connection issues

Question

I have been trying to calibrate my Dell 2413 with the i1 Display using the Dell Ultrasharp Calibration Solution (DUCS). It happens that the process always fails to start at Step 1  (setting the optimum contrast, I think). The following message is displayed: 'Could not set the display preset (CAL1 or CAL2). Error communicating with the display. Please verify the USB connection. Power cycle the display, restart the application and try again'. I have tried to connect the i1 Display both to monitor (side ports and bottom ports) and to the desktop. I am running windows 7 Home Premium and the version of the DUCS is 1.5.10. This is really critical for me as this is my main monitor for photography. Your help is greatly appreciated!!!  Thanks, joao luis

* Uninstall DUCCS 1.5.10* Reboot the computer when finished* Install DUCCS 1.5.8* Do not allow it to auto update* Reboot the computer when finished* Retest. If still no go; * Uninstall DUCCS 1.5.8* Reboot the computer when finished* Install DUCCS 1.5.3* Do not allow it to auto update* Reboot the computer when finished* Retest
