Dell U3011 doesn't return from power save mode
Past week this U3011 has been driving me crazy. For long time I didn't see the "power save" problem, maybe once every couple months.
About month ago I upgraded my GPU GTX 460 for Radeon 4850. For first couple weeks no problems, but now suddenly for about one week, the power save problem has been occurring 5-10 times every day. I'm connected with dual-link DVI cable. Only other change I can think of, is that I installed MS Office about week ago, about same time the problem started coming. But I can't think the office installation would have caused this, could it?
Only way to get the picture back seems to be remove the DVI-cable and put it back. Usually it takes 2-3 times until I get the picture, other times it just gives the message "entering power save mode". It's really annoying, and I'm afraid I'll damage the DVI cable as I unplug/plug it some 10-30 times every day.
One other thread mentioned disabling DDC/CI might help, but didn't change for me.
I checked drivers and such, everything looks to be the most recent. I tried rebooting PC, but nothing helps.
This is supposed to be best monitor from Dell, how can it keep doing such?? I'm running Windows 7 if that helps.

Welcome to the community.
I sincerely apologize for all the inconvenience this issue has caused and promise you that I will do my best to resolve this issue to your satisfaction.
Please let us know the model number of the system you have and the version of Windows installed.
Also, if possible kindly check the Monitor with different DVI cable and system to isolate the issue.

The monitor model is U3011. Windows version is Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit with Service Pack 1 installed.
I only have one dual-link DVI cable, so I cannot try with another one. It works perfect when it works, using 2560x1600, 60Hz and 32bit color.

tpatana,
As a test, disconnect the U3011 USB uplink cable from the computers USB port. Does the U3011 still go into power save mode?
