Dell U3014 - Different Colour / Temp in different programs

Hi, Before I lose patience completely and switch back to my old brand of monitor, I thought I would try for help here first. Simply, an edited photo looks different in Adobe Camera Raw and Windows Photo viewer. History: I work in sRGB. On purchase I calibrated my monitor using a Spyder Pro. Older images edited on my old monitor looked exactly as they should + as close to the prints I had too. But when I opened the jpegs or any jpegs for that matter, they were too hot and over saturated. So I played..... I used Dell Display manager to turn off Auto mode and switch to manual, choosing sRGB, which is a good close match to my calibrated profile. I thought this would allow all programs to simply view in sRGB. Jpeg images opened in Photo Viewer now look right, and opening the same image in Adobe Camera Raw now looks wrong. Windows Photo Viewer has an 'Auto Enhance' feature turned on - but this has since been turned off. Does anyone know what is going on here? I also thought that the wide gamut monitor was showing everything overcooked but Adobe Camera Raw was managing to bypass it? I just want images to look the same across the board. I'm a full time professional wedding photographer who has never thought less of a monitor until now. Help.
