Dell Ultrasharp U2412M Backlight Bleed Issues

I just got an Ultrasharp U2412M and the left side is pretty bad... I'm considering returning it and know that I will never get one that's perfect but I'm just afraid I will receive one that is worse. What would you guys suggest? And isn't it a little ridiculous that I'm able to buy a reasonably priced 42" television with almost no backlight bleed at all and then this 24" monitor has issues on every single one? What's going on at the dell factory? If I purchase a high-end model for a thousand bucks would I still have this issue?

Thanks

PS. This monitor does not have a service tag and I'm not using it with a dell computer so the detection software is pretty useless, how can I get a hold of someone at customer service to help me out?

gunkookshlinger,

Based on the picture, that monitor is well within our factory specifications for backlight gradient.
