Dimension 3000 compatibility

Question

I have a Dimension 3000 and would like to replace my 17' LCD monitor with the Dell 2007FP 20-inch (not wide screen) monitor.  Is there any cable/card issues I have to worry about?  It's only for normal PC use, no gaming, DVD, or fancy stuff like that.  Thanks.

It looks like you have Integrated Intel Extreme Graphics 2 onboard video.

According to Intel specs it supports -
'350 MHz DAC for 1800x1440 @ 85Hz max CRT resolution or 2048x1536@60Hz max FP resolution'

The optimum resolution for the monitor is 1600x1200 @ 60 Hz. You can just use the standard VGA connector.
