Display problems

My 4150 is set at 1024 X 768. The problem is this. I am an insurance agent, and run many insurance software programs to do rates with in my laptop. I just got a new program, and when the laptop is in my docking station, it displays without any problem on my 19" monitor. The problem is when I pull the laptop out of the dock, and try to use it at the office of a client, the calcualtion entry screen on this particular program is unreadable because it is all scrunched up. I called the tech support guy at the insurance company, and he suggested I lower my resolution to something lower. I tried that, and it made no difference. It is still scrunched up. Any idea what I need to change to get this to work. He said it had only happened on a couple of agents computers, but he did not know what to do. Any suggestions would be appreciated

I can't find any way to change the settings in the program. I guess my only option is to try to pull it out of the tech department at the company on Monday. Thanks anyway.

He asked me to lower it. How do I set the program to go to full screen? When I pull the program up, it is not fullscreen, but the maximize square is grayed out, and I can't maximize it. Is there another way to get it to fullscreen? This sounds like it would solve the problem if I can figure out how to do it another way. Thanks.

Your issue is software based or an issue with your video card. Did the "guy at the insurance company" ask you to lower or raise your resolution? because if you lowered it the "scrunching" issue will most likely just get worse. Try to find out what the optimal resolution for the software is and then reset your monitor to that resolution. Also do you use this program in full screen? If not try to reset it to fit your screen and see if that can fix the issue.

Not knowing the software the only thing i could reccomend is to look in any settings the program has and see if their is a full screen option there. If not contact the software provider.

Just in case anyone wants to know, I did have the DPI setting at large fonts. I re-set them to normal (96DPI) and it fixed the problem.

Thanks,
