Display settings

I have just reinstalled my computer after a crash.

Now I can't change my settings for the monitor (I can only get 640*480 and 16 colors).

I have read the post below and tried to reinstall the chipset (from the resource CD) and the drivers for the monitor (from the Dell website) and graphics card (automatically detected) and rebooted the computer but it still doesn't work.

Info:

I have a Dimension 4100 and a M991 monitor.

The Device Manager shows the Dell M991 and Standard PCI-graphics card (VGA)

Any ideas?

JohanGrufman,

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

Try reinstalling the video card drivers into the system. They did not install.
