Does dell track monitor serial numbers?

I bought a new 22" dell (base model) and I love the picture.  However the base is warped and it willnot sit flat on any surface and it rocks back and forth.

Here's the issue, I had the monitor shipped to my work.  We had also purchaced 4 others IDENTICLE to this one for the office.  Somewhere in the mixup the screen got separated from its base.  At this point I have no clue which one was sent with the warped base.

I do not want to sent "a screen" back with the wrong serial or something and have it rejected and wind up costing me more.

Any ideas or does it really matter?
