DVI connection question...

Howdy! I just ordered a 2405FPW, which says it comes with a 15 pin D-sub connection. Here's the problem; My video card is an ATI Radeon x800se, and I just noticed that it only has a 24 pin D-sub connection!
Since I've only used VGA connections before, I'm completely ignorant on this subject.
Do I need a new video card?
Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi Barney
I think that maybe the docs are referring to how many pins are wired.
D-SUB is D-SUB the port on the back of my dell looks like a standard
monitor port and fits right into my video vard with no problems at all.
I would guess it would work with your card with no issue.

Good luck,

looks to me you need a white DVI adapter plug , and you can keep the video card you have !
I just bought an  ATI Radeon X600  that has both DVI (24 pins) and VGA (15-pins) connection.
I think you could order the white DVI adapter plug with Dell ; this plug is plugged on the 15 pins plug of your monitor.

Also try to find in the specifications of your monitor/videocard if you need DVI-D or DVI-I   to make the connection work, although i think the DELL white DVI adapter plug should work for you.
