DVI-D connector with HDCP??

Hi All,

I’m interesting to 24’’ widescreen monitor (Dell Ultrasharp 2407WFP 24"), but I’ve a doubt:

The input is DVI-D (Digital) connector with HDCP.

I must realize a board that pilot the monitor,

can I ignore HDCP protocol? Or this monitor must absolutely work with HDCP protocol?

thanks in advance.

Video card does not have to have to be HDCP compliant. Should have DVI outs, but VGA will also work.

Some people use 4-year-old video cards like an nVidia TI4600, it works great for everything but new games s of 2 or 3 years back.

The only Video card that is suppose to be HDCP compliant (that I know of) is the nVidia 7950 G2, it's 2 cards in one.
To make the full HDCP circle you would also have to have a blu-ray player/burner (Sony 700.00) and if after all that you hope your set up works.

Cutting edge tech. a little buggy still.

Good Day!
