E172FP Problem

Question

I have a dimension system for a little over a year now.  With the 17 LCD monitor.  It was working great until today when it started to flicker.  Did all the testing with other monitors on my pc and they worked.  It is the LCD monitor.  I also plugged the LCD to my laptop and same thing happens.  I tried resetting it to no avail.  Any sugestion?   Any help realy appreciated.  Thanks.

Some suggestions before calling Dell tech support. Push in on the monitors reset button to see what happens. Make sure you have no unshielded speakers, or other electronic devices near the monitor. Check the cable, ( If possible, try another one ) it may need to be replaced or make sure it is tight. Sometimes they will come loose. Also make sure the video card is well seated as well. Try another video card driver just for the heck of it. Sorry, I cannot think of anything else. Good luck

I tried the monitor with my laptop and the same thing happened.   When I did the test with the laptop I did move the monitor to a different room just to make sure there was not something in the enviroment causing the problem.  I don't think is the cable because I disconnected the cable from the monitor and just powered the monitor by itself.  The monitor then went into the selftest mode and it was still jiggering (sp)/flickering without the cable just by itself on selftest mode.
