E196FP - poor gaming performance?

Just received a Dimension 5150 with a 19" E196FP monitor. I'm actually using the monitor with my old system at the moment (P2.4 + Geforce 4600 + 512mb).

Trying to play Unreal Tournament 99 and find it almost impossible. The game is very fast moving and anything on screen is almost a blur.

This is my first flat panel and I thought with 8ms response the game performance would be adequate - but it seems not. (Plays fine with my old Dell 19" CRT)

 

Anyone else playing fast moving FPS games with success?
