E198FPb Power Light Blinking Rapidly...

Screen is now blank, initially I just had a series of vertical lines on powerup, then vertical and horizontal across the entire screen, now I've got nothing and the power button blinks green as soon as i plug in the monitor.  Saw a post for different model with similar symptoms, I think the issue was the backlight, is it the same issue with this model?  Thanks..

JerryFlynn,

* Turn off the monitor
* Unplug the monitor from the computer (ALL cables)
* Plug the monitor power cord directly into the wall socket
* Turn on the monitor
* The floating red/green/blue/white dialog box should appear on screen against a black background
* If the STFC (Self Test Feature Check) fails, contact Dell Technical Support and provide to them the following information -
