E2014T, Windows 8.1, touchscreen issues
my e2014t touchscreen doesn't always recognize me touching the screen, this will happen either after sitting for a while or while I am actively using the touchscreen. It is hooked up to a dell insperion pc by vga cable (running windows 8.1). Should I try the hdmi cable that came with monitor, I am not near the pc now, so I'm not sure if there is a connection on the pc for the hdmi cable.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi ecoeats,
Thank you for writing to the Dell Community Forum.
Please connect the USB cable that was provided along with the monitor. One end needs to be connected next to the audio line out port, the other end goes to the USB port on your system. Once you connect the USB cable, please allow the driver installation to be completed at the bottom right hand corner of the screen before performing any touch screen operations. Re-seat the power cable from the power adapter to allow auto-re-calibration of the touch module. Use a soft clean cloth to clean the dust.
Please reply if you have any further questions.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that the usb is connected correctly and the touchscreen does function, just intermittently. Will the HDMI cable work better than the vga connection.

Hi ecoeats,
Yes, the HDMI connection would work better. Request you to re-seat the cables and then re-calibrate the touch module.
