e207WFPc drivers for Windows 8

Question

I recently upgraded to Windows 8.1 and am using this e207wfpc as one of three monitors.  Windows 8 only shows it as a generic monitor and when I try to update the driver it tells me that it is already using the best driver.  However, available resolutions don't include 1680x1050.  Is there a way to add that resolution to a generic driver in Windows 8?  Is there a newer driver for this model?  The newest one I find is from 2009. thanks for any help.

The E207WFP was never validated for Windows 7 or 8. Both 7 and 8 will show it as generic. You will have to check into the video card settings to see if there is a way to force a custom resolution.

Thanks for the quick response.  I did keep searching and found a utility that I downloaded (cru-1.1.zip).  Ran that and added custom resolutions to the generic monitor.  Rebooted and then I was able to select the resolutions I had just added.  So that worked for me.
