The E207WFP was never validated for Windows 7 or 8. Both 7 and 8 will show it as generic. You will have to check into the video card settings to see if there is a way to force a custom resolution.
Thanks for the quick response. I did keep searching and found a utility that I downloaded (cru-1.1.zip). Ran that and added custom resolutions to the generic monitor. Rebooted and then I was able to select the resolutions I had just added. So that worked for me.
