I'm having the same problem. If you set the resolution to the native setting of 1200X1024, it makes everything smaller. If you lower the resolution, the fonts get bigger, but my understanding is that unlike CRT monitors, LCDs have only ONE recommended resolution. I also tried increasing the DPI, but it only helped minimally.
