Getting angry...2007WFP + Tech Support...help

Well as you may see i have posted a message below asking about my monitor, thats fine and great thanks for help.

But......today when i go and phone dell tech support an Indian guy picks up, has no idea what im saying (im Scottish which supposedly is hard to understand) and i couldnt understand him at all.

Ok so we resolved this with talking slowly. He asked for my service tag...and i dont have one, then i mention it was a monitor so he puts me through to the "monitor support line" and i get 2 messages

press 1 if you machine is a bla bla bla

press 2 if your server is bla bla bla

Not an option for a monitor so i wait and get told they are shut. So i phone back and speak to another person and they say its open i will pass you on before i can even speak to him about to being shut. Third time i phone i interupted him straight away to mention this so he didn't pass me on again and he puts the phone down on me.......

Ok i gave it one more shot and exactly the same happens, get sent to the monitor support where i get asked if i have a server or a home machine and its closed.

brilliant.

Does anyone have a phone number for a Brittish call centre if there is one? or just something becuase this is beyond a joke.

Gary,

Try this number (01344 373727). It's a Reading number for UK Business and Public Service Customer Care. I recently had a long, frustrating battle with these people to get a second processor for my Precision WS, which they had neglected to install on shipment. I gave up with the 0870 number and made a real pest of myself using the web reporting system and any Reading number I could find. I refused to speak to the Bangalore centre because apparently they cannot understand anything even slightly technical, know nothing about the products and can't make a decision. Dell actually have a Tech place in Glasgow that were actually very helpful. You might find it if you have access tio a Glasgow area directory. I threatened top sue them for breach of contract, go to the UK computer press and said I would become a Dell shareholder and personally ask Michael Dell to explain why I hadn't got satisfaction. I eventually got my parts but no apology. I have a 2007WFP and it is a wonderful monitor, much better than some of the 2008/09 ones. This is the second battle I have fought and won with Dell. Do not back down. If I find any other numbers I'll post them. Tell me how you get on. Bob
