I am not a gamer but it was explained to me by a friend that for gaming you really should be getting a monitor that has a 2ms response. The faster the response the better for gaming....2ms is fastest I believe in the monitor range you are seeking.
Image quality is more important than response time for today's LCD monitors, methinks. I would recommend the UltraSharp monitors, such as the 1908FP, the 1908WFP, the 2007WFP and the 2007FP.
