HELP!!! 1905FP says 2.Digital Input Cannot Display This Video Mode

Hello, I'm getting frustrated. I cant get my new 1905FP to display in digital mode. I have it hooked in with the white cable and every time I start up it says: 2.Digital Input Cannot Display This Video Mode. I have tried every thing but nothing works. I called tech. support and the lady that didnt speak told me just to use the blue cord. But after spending the cash for the monitor I want a digital signal. I have read all posts and nothing is helping. Please Help!!!!!!!!!!!

Make sure the refresh rate is set to 60hrz the first time you connect the screen, if it was at something like 85hrtz from your previous monitor you might get an unsupported message on the screen.

Were you able to get it working on the VGA blue just to double check it?

Did you install the monitor driver?

or do you have the latest video driver?

Was there anything still connected to the VGA port when you try using the DVI port? I just have to check even though that might not be the source of the problem if the montior says it can do the resolution.

Have you started it Windows Safemode that defaults to a low res to see if that works? Do you see any bios screen when the computer starts up while it's connected to DVI, or do you never get a picture ever?

Did you try switching modes from analog to digital. Try pushing in that small minus button on your monitor.

All drivers are updated and when I push the - button it shows the analog box with the colors, if I push it again then it just says something like "digital mode" and no colors. Also when I push the menu button on the monitor only a couple of the options are able to be used.

mattford77, Just a suggestion.  Unplug the DVI cable from both the monitor and the computer when the computer is off.  Then plug back into the monitor and the computer, making sure you have secure connections.  Turn on your just your monitor, push the first button and let us know what happens.

If I push the first button nothing happens, if I push the -, the same thing happens as before. If I push the - key without the cable pluged in then the digital screen with the colors will come up, but wont if its plugged in.

I just want to make sure. You only have the DVI cable connected to the card, no vga cables anywhere, even on the screen, right? If you are using only one cable, the dvi cable, it should automatically select source 2 with no need to push any buttons.
