Help!!! Cannot find 2407FPW driver that works!

Hi all, I have been search for hours for a 2407FPW (Rev A03) driver that works, I lost my CD and I am installing the monitor on a machine running on NVidia GeForce FX 5200.  I downloaded a version from Dell (even this one was difficult to find!) that is supposed to be for 2407 but I cannot get the 1920x1200 resolution that I used to get!  Help!!! Where can I find a driver that works?
I will buy you a gift certificate if you get this solved for me!

Yes you are right, the monitor was running on 1900x1200 on another computer. I installed the monitor on my Dell 8300 /w NVidia FX5200 and I can't get 1900x1200 in my display settings. My version of Forceware is 93.71. Please help. My eyes are hurting.

Are you saying you had the monitor running 1920x1200 on this machine or another one?

Are you using DVI or VGA? I don't think the FX5200 supports 1920x1200 over DVI.

What nVidia Forceware version are you using?

Are you using DVI or VGA?

1920x 1200 over VGA should work. DVI is a different story - see this post.

Were the previous drivers uninstalled before installing v93.71?

Have a look at this post about creating custom timings.

Hi gpro, I am using DVI. Previous drivers were not uninstalled before installing v9.3.71.

Generally, it is recommended to uninstall existing video drivers before updating to avoid possible problems.

Guide to uninstalling display drivers

Driver Cleaner (free version)

Those links are just for your information, I don't think it will help with your issue.

PlayTool.com also has a page which explains the DVI issues with older nVidia cards. I think this is the problem.

If the card has two DVI ports, try the other one. If it has a VGA port use that.
