Help no express service code on my U2410!!
I received a U2410 from Dell as part of an order a couple years ago because i bought i think 3 machines at once, with warranties, and it was included at a discount. I can't tell you specifically when, and for some reason, the monitor doesn't have an express service code/ service tag sticker. I called the phone numbers for dell tech support about 4 months ago to ask about it, and the issue i had complained about then is still present, it's a problem in discoloration in the top right portion of the monitor, and now the usb ports are having more frequent inconsistancy in their stability (disconnect reconnect mice and keyboards multiple times a minute). I need a replacement monitor, and no one knows how to find the order. I need someone to do a full audit on my account, since when i called this was supposed to be done and someone was supposed to get back to me with results. No one ever did. Again, 600 dollar 24 inch business class monitor-- no service tag, no help, highly unprofessional. I was hoping someone might read this plea for help and be able to get me in touch with someone who can help.
Thanks!
Zach

Don't you have any paper work for the systems you bought?
I would use the service tag of the system that came with the monitor and make a service call on that system - that is my usb mouse and keyboard continually disconnect and reconnect and the systems video output is discolored on the top right of the monitor. Get them to do the fault finding and when they tell you to plug the mouse keyboard into the system instead, that's when you ask for the monitor to be fixed as it must obviously be faulty if you cant use the usb pots on the monitor.

Hi zachster,
Welcome to the Community,
Was this monitor bought along with the system or was it a separate order? When you say you had bought 3 machines,do you mean 3 monitors or 3 systems along with the monitor?
If not the service tag number, do you have an order number, customer number or any other number given to you at the time of purchase?
In case you happen to come across any such number, click on my user name, add me as a friend and private message me those details, along with your name, your address registered with Dell and your phone number.
I will try to see if i can pull up any information on your monitor.
Thank You
Roshan.

I literally have none of the paperwork from the original purchases. I don’t know which desktops/laptops I bought with warranties, and they were all resold to clients. The computers would have likely been 1 desktop and 1 laptop, and the u2410 on the order too discounted. They likely had warranties too, and were either studio’s or studio xps’s or xps’s. Don’t typically buy inspirons. Isn’t there a division of dell directly that should be helping me? Obviously someone with access to my order history should be able to get this done pretty easily--auditing my orders and getting me helped immediately. I have spent 10's of thousands with Dell, and this seems so rediculous as my only point of direct contact.

Only the 27" and 30" monitors got a service tag number. All others got an attached order number. The monitor warranty is tied to the system it was purchased with. So if the system had a 1 year warranty, the attached monitor has a 1 year warranty. Any order support agent can do a search in our database for your information by name, phone number, address. But it takes time. Once they get a match, they would have to look up that order number and see if the U2410 was on it. Once found, they would be able to see the warranty end date of the system and apply that to the monitor.
