How to start computer with E173FP in safe mode
I have an XP system with an E173FP LCD monitor on it. Whenever I try to start the computer in safe mode (by pressing F8 at bootup), the screen says "Cannot display this video mode" after booting. I have tried turning the monitor off and on for a minute as suggested in another forum message, but no luck. The monitor works fine when I boot the system normally. Can anyone offer any suggestions as to how to get this monitor to recognize the 640x480 graphics in safe mode?

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
Have you set the display settings to the lowest settings and then tried to get into safe mode?
