Intel Mac Mini and 2005FPW Problems

I got my new 2005FPW yesterday and tried plugging it in to my Mac Mini using DVI.

And then nothing. No picture. I switched to a VGA cable and that works, but only at a limited resolution.

Obviously I want to get it working via DVI. So far i've tried unplugging all other sources apart from DVI, swapping the DVI cable out for a new one, manually changing the input source on the front of the monitor and trying to access the settings for DVI (which of course it won't do unless there's a computer plugged into it).

I know DVI from the Mac Mini works, as up until yesterday it was happily working on my old Eizo monitor.

I thought it might be the DVI input itself on the monitor, but when I unplug the DVI cable with the monitor on it goes into 'self test' mode which according to the manual should indicate that there aren't any problems.

Has anyone else seen anything similar to this and know how to solve it?

Just a dumb question, but have you changed the monitor input to #2 ?

I got the same problem with the DVI input, shows no picture but dont enter to stand by or anything jet the led goes to orange with no picture or message.

Please technical staff replies.

From 3d labs told me to to find out if the monitor sends an ident signal required to most of the dvi vcards.

Have you tried rebooting the computer? I know a few people who have gone from a VGA hookup to a DVI connection and didn't reboot the computer, so the DVI didn't work. That's on the PC side though, but it wouldn't hurt to try.
