LCD BLINKS EVERY 10 SECONDS

Question

I RECENTLY REPLACED THE 17' CRT MONITOR THAT CAME WITH MY DIMENSION 4550 WITH A PROVIEW 17' LCD MONITOR.  SINCE THEN I NOTICED WHEN USING A PARTICULAR APPLICATION THE LCD MONITOR BLINKS EVERY 10 SECONDS MAKING KEYING INPUT ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE. I HAVE OBSERVED THIS 10 SECOND BLINKING WITH ONE SPECIFIC APPLICATION ONLY. ANY IDEAS HOW I CAN CORRECT THIS PROBLEM WITHOUT GOING BACK TO THE ORIGINAL CRT? CHANGING THE MONITOR RESOLUTION DIDN'T MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE. GEORGEDW, Try changing the color depth to 16 bit high color instead of 32 bit true color.  Just a thought... Steve

change the screen resolution n lower it and use analog cable and see if it works out or not ... change the signal from digital to analog and then press' - key' two times on monitor to change signal n see if it works

George, Go to nvidia.com and download the latest WHQ drivers for your video card. I think the Detonator drivers should work fine for you.
