LCD Flatpanel 1900 FP Problem

Hi!

I have a Dell Monitor that I have been having an issue with, the graphics card I have is GeForce Ti 200 and the 19" LCD is 1900 FP Flat Panel. It was working fine but yesterday i noticed the dispaly just went really bad. I don't think it's a problem with the driver or the resolution. The display just trails does not matter what it's showing...the mouse trails, the dell bootup trails and all looks really faded. I have tried to uninstall the graphics card driver and re-install which does not help at all. It's been about 3 years I have had it and no problems in the past..does anyone know if the life of that monitor goes away and something needs replaced? The OS i have is XP and that works fine...as i don't have a problem with it when connected to another monitor. The 1900 FP when connected just by itsself too..trails..it comes up with the monitor system test..the red, green, blue..and they all trail...and is not visible properly. If someone needs an image i will post a picture once i get home. Thanks in advance to any genius who can help me.

Thanks,
Sabin.

karnibas,

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

Here are some things to try and resolve the issue with the monitor.

  • Push Auto adjust button
  • Adjust Phase and Clock controls via OSD
  • Eliminate video extension cables
  • Perform monitor reset
  • Lower video resolution or increase font size
