LCD screen keeps turing off....please help me!!!
I have the 17inch dell ultrasharp lcd monitor for about a year and half. Just recently, the screen suddenly began to turn bright and then it shuts off to total blackness. However, the green light is still on when the monitor is black. When I try to turn the monitor back on, it flicks on for a second and then turns off again. Usually after a few tries, the video stays on as if there were no problem. This usually happens when I'm wathcing a movie in windows media player, but it has happened other times as well. I've checked to make sure all the cables are properly plugged in.

Sounds like a backlight or inverter issue.
