Personally, I don't think it should pose a problem - the LCD monitor should be shipped with a CD-Rom of drivers suitable for the majority of Windows systems, including Me. When I swapped my old 14" CRT for a shiny new Dell 17" TFT I had no problems whatsoever. Just swapped the monitors and, when back in Windows, installed the monitor-specific drivers from the CD-Rom that came with it.
Also I've since upgraded my graphics card and that caused no problems whatsoever either. Just a simple case of swapping old for new and carrying on as normal.
