Monitor Connection

I have just brought a Dell insprion 530-Q6600 and Monitor E207WFPc and each time i switch on computer i get the following message:

"unsupported video configuration detected- action required

this computer has an add-in graphic card but the monitor cable is plugged into the integrated video connecter. To attach the monitor cable to the add-in graphic card"

1. Shut down computer

Plug the monitor cable into the add-in graphic card connecter - this may require a video adapter or video adapter cable(provided with this system)

3. Turn on computer

I have connected the monitor with the VGA (blue)cable and there is also a VGA/DVI adapter and DVI (white)cable included with this monitor. What should i do to resolve this issue?? Any advice / help would be great. Thanks

The message tells you what you need to do. Look at these instructions. The top example shows the monitor connected by DVI to an add-in graphics card. If you look closely you can see that it also has a blue VGA connector - use DVI if you have a choice. The bottom example shows the monitor connected by VGA to the integrated video connector. Note the different locations. Select either DVI or VGA input using the Input Select button on the monitor front panel.
