Monitor display

I have a 20 inch Widescreen Digital Flat Panel monitor ~ purchased 5 months ago.  About a week ago I noticed that all text has a shadow following the text ~ same height as the text.  Other then the shadow, the display is good.  What is causing the shadow after the text?

Its a Dell.  The Product Code is E207WFP, so, I'm assuming it is an E series

imarjberg,

* Open the OSD
* Open Color Settings
* Choose User Preset
* What are your current RGB settings?

You are educating this ol' granny.  I have paid no attention to those little buttons by the power button before.  After figuring out what OSD and RGB meant I can now tell you Red is set at +90, Green 87 and Blue +78.  Thank you.  Now, tell me where are they supposed to be set?

imarjberg,

Now you need to experiment with them. Move them all down by 5 and see if the issue goes away. Keep doing this until the shadowing stops. Then, let me know what the numbers are. These are the settings I use on my 2407WFP A04. Yours will differ but you get the idea.

Brightness = 50
Red = 84
Green = 85
Blue = 85

I moved the numbers down by 5 as you advised and up and various settings, but, nothing makes the horizontal shadowing get better or worse.  The shadowing is after (to the right) of text and pictures.  Would I be able to send you a screen print so you can see what it looks like?

The shadowing doesn't seem to be as bad ~ still have it, but, not as distinct, so, guess I need to do a little more tinkering
